Autobiography
I was born in San Francisco, California. My teenage years were sometimes emmersed
with learning, exploring new things, collecting comic books, bubble gum cards and
fancy rocks. I love to collect things, all sorts of things. Like most teenagers there were
difficult times fitting in and I felt sometimes quirky and introverted. As I grew up, I felt a
passionate attraction to creative things, like fine art, fashion design, interior design and
creative writing. In my young 20's, I found the goddess and experimented with ritual
practice alone and in groups. Living in San Francisco, I was blessed to encounter many
spiritual events and activities, a number I attended with friends. Overtime I developed a
regular habit of personal study and chanting. I remember one Yoruba priest called me,
a
habitual student
. On my journey I encountered the dark Goddess and Her cultural ties to
an old place called Cush. I found this to be fascinating. Ironicaly, I am not sure how this
cultural history is critical for me. My writing and art is an attempt on my part to find some
answers, thus the products found at my site are inspired by this quest for human
wholeness. While looking for books I continued to see limited information on the dark
goddess, especially with noticeable inclusion of African history. This is why I wrote,
The First Book of the Dark Goddess to fill in this gap in books on the subject. TFBDG has
received many good comments and is located in two major universities. This has
motivated me to contemplate the publishing of text books for alternative colleges.

My creative interests began as a visual artist and poet. This characterized my earlier
years with some journal writing. My skills with writing and art has grown tremendously
with my inclusion of symbols and ancient mythology. This has given my efforts new life
and vibrancy in my approach on any subject, sacred or secular.
